We are excited to welcome Jayhawk families back to Lawrence for Family Weekend 2026! Join us for a memorable weekend filled with family-friendly activities, opportunities to connect with the KU community, and plenty of time to spend with your students. Family Weekend is held each fall to give parents, families and supporters the opportunity to spend time with their students, experience life at KU, and explore the city of Lawrence.

Registration will open Monday, July 20 and closes Monday August 31 1 at 6:00pm CST. We encourage you to register early.

• Only one registration per family is needed
• Students must also be registered participants; parents are able to register their students.
• Registration includes admission to most activities. Parking, football tickets and select events require additional costs.

Tentative Schedule of Events

Friday, October 2-The Jayhawk Adventure

Explore KU at your own pace during the Jayhawk Adventure! Enjoy family-friendly activities, visit open houses across campus, and discover the people, places, and resources that make KU a special part of your student's experience. Come and create your own Family Weekend adventure.

Saturday, October 3-Game Day on The Hill

KU football lover? Prepare to cheer on the Jayhawks as we play Middle Tennessee

Where Jayhawk families come together! Join the Office of Family Engagement for a Family Weekend tailgate filled with laughter, connections, and KU spirit!

Sunday, October 4 -Brunch & Blues

Join us for brunch and live jazz music to conclude your Family & Friends 2026 weekend with brunch and live jazz music. Receive Family Weekend departure gift.
